*Reunion 2022*

• The men of 50th Company will gather at the Gettysburg Hotel, Gettysburg, PA on September 6, 7, & 8, 2022 for our next reunion. The reunion date is now secured. Details of the reunion activities are now being planned. But the commitment is to have more unstructured time for individuals to gather and visit. 

Reunion Overview:

• Plenty of additional information will be forthcoming; the overview of the activities is:
• Tuesday, September 6th is the arrival date.  A golf outing for those interested has been organized for Tuesday afternoon.  Scroll down for complete information. 
• On Wednesday, a tour of the Gettysburg Battlefield and a visit to the  Gettysburg National Heritage Site (Museum and Cyclorama) is planned. 
• The “official” reunion group dinner will be Wednesday evening.  
• Thursday will be a free day with an optional (very informal) group lunch  offered at the hotel.
• A hospitality area in the atrium will be available for socializing on all  three days during times when group activities are not planned. 
• Checkout and departure are on Friday morning, September 9. 

 Reunion Hotel:

• We have reserved 40 rooms at a special group rate ($149.00 per night) at the historic Gettysburg Hotel. The Gettysburg Hotel is located at 1 Lincoln Square in the heart of Gettysburg.  The hotel began as a tavern in 1797 and, following renovation in 1890, became the Gettysburg Hotel where it stands today.  Abraham Lincoln stayed at the Wills House across from the hotel prior to delivering the Gettysburg Address.  The Wills House is maintained by the Park Service and available for touring.
• We have discounted rooms rates of $149 per night with a check in of 4:00PM on September 6th and check out at 11:00AM on September 9th.  The cut off for reservations at this group rate is July 22nd.  Parking is available behind the hotel for $12.72 per day which can be billed to the room.

• Reservation Method:    Guestroom reservations for this event will be made by individual attendees calling the Gettysburg Hotel reservations directly at 866-378-1797. In order to receive the special group guest room rate, individuals must identify themselves as attending the U.S. Army 50th Company OCS. 
• Cutoff Date: Friday, July 22, 2022 :  All reservations must be received by this date in order to guarantee the discounted rate. Any reservations made after the cutoff date will be done so based on availability of sleeping rooms and room rate.
• Cancellations:
• All reservations requests must be guaranteed for the amount of the first night’s room & tax. This guarantee can be in the form of a credit card, cash or check. This guarantee is non refundable unless reservation is canceled 72 hours prior to arrival and a cancellation number is obtained at that time.
• Please note that any cancellations that are done less than 72 hours prior to the guest arrival, the guest will be charged for the first night stay. If any guests check out early, they will be charged for the next night ‘s stay. The above listed guestroom rates are subject to applicable Pennsylvania state and local taxes (currently: 11%) in effect at the time of check-in.
• Individual Pays Own
• Attendees will pay their own room, tax and incidentals incurred by them at the Hotel.  At the time of check-in, guests will be required to pre-pay for their estimated charges by a credit card, cash or check.
• Room may be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to attend, please reserve your room early.  

Attendance Fee

• We are closing in on our third (and possibly last) organized Company reunion at Gettysburg, September 6-8.  The Reunion Planning Group is now making financial commitments, so please send in your reunion fee as soon as you are able.  
• The amount is a very reasonable $225 per person.  It covers the Gettysburg Battlefield bus tour, the reunion banquet (with an open bar), a couple of informal lunches, class photos, and more.  
• Please send a check, made out to Scott Davis, in the amount of $225 per person to the address listed below.  He will acknowledge receipt. 
• The Planning Group is really looking forward to seeing everyone.  It will be a fun event.
