Bill Shade

Ever wonder what OCS was like before we became the "Boys of Ft. Benning"? LTC (Ret) Bill Shade and his wife, Dale, were our guests at the reunion banquet. Bill graduated from 50th Company, Infantry OCS, way back in 1960. He subsequently made a career of the army and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. I have had the pleasure of getting to know Bill and have found that we share many of the same values that OCS has instilled. While some things have changed, the basics of OCS are constant. Bill has been kind enough to share with us his photos from the "old army", which are included in this album. Of special note are the tan class A uniform and the shorts. Enjoy! Regards, Lou Lallo
